## Visitor information

Hearing instructions

EOIR lists Internet-based hearing links and telephonic access codes in its current hearing directory. The hearing notice and current EOIR instructions control whether a particular hearing is remote or in person. Unrepresented respondents generally appear in person unless EOIR directs otherwise.

Building access and security

There are both magnatometers and x-ray machines that visitors and employees must go through for entrance into the Federal Building at the north entrance.

Security information: All visitors to the immigration court must undergo a security screening through a metal detector machine as well as a handbag screening each time they visit the immigration court. Shoes may be required to be removed. Food and drinks are not allowed, except as specifically permitted by the immigration judge. Usage of cameras or recording devices in courtrooms or other EOIR space is prohibited. Note, however, that attorneys or accredited representatives of record and DHS attorneys representing the government in proceedings before EOIR are permitted to use electronic devices in EOIR courtrooms for the limited purpose of conducting immediately relevant court and business-related activities (e.g. scheduling).

Parking and public transit

The El Paso Court is accessible from the El Paso

Metro bus line and is within walking distance to a bus stop. There is a pay parking lot on the east side of the Federal Building and some metered parking spots around the building and nearby streets.
