Scope: statewide

Electronic media and still-photography coverage is allowed in Florida public trial and appellate proceedings under Rule 2.450's equipment and conduct standards, always subject to the presiding judge's control of decorum, distractions, and fair administration.

Evidence excerpt: Subject at all times to the authority of the presiding judge to: (i) control the conduct of proceedings before the court; (ii) ensure decorum and prevent distractions; and (iii) ensure the fair administration of justice in the pending cause, electronic media and still photography coverage of public judicial proceedings in the appellate and trial courts of this state shall be allowed

## Biography

### Professional career

- Alexander S. Bokor is a judge of the Florida Third District Court of Appeal, appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis in 2020 and retained by voters in 2022
- Visiting Associate Judge: Fourth District Court of Appeal (March 2020)
- 11th Judicial Circuit (2018–2020): Circuit judge in the civil division, appointed by Governor Rick Scott; also served on Chief Judge Bertila Soto’s pandemic planning task force
- Miami-Dade County Court (2016–2018): County judge in North Dade, South Dade, and downtown Miami, primarily in civil divisions; briefly in misdemeanor/traffic branch
- Clerkship: U.S. District Judge Steven D. Merryday, Middle District of Florida (2004–2005)
- Judge Bokor has moderated and presented numerous continuing legal education programs on topics such as separation of powers, administrative law, appellate practice, pandemic-era litigation, and electronic discovery
