## Biography

### Professional career

- Elected judge of the Massillon Municipal Court in Ohio, serving a six‐year term beginning January 2, 2026, and previously as the court’s full‐time Magistrate since 2020
- Before becoming judge, Scassa held the role of full‐time Magistrate of the Massillon Municipal Court from February 2020.
- Also the first female Law Director for the City of Massillon (2016–2020)
- 2010–2019: Staff Attorney, Canton Municipal Court
- 2006–2010: Assistant Prosecutor, City of Canton Prosecutor’s Office

- She has presided over a wide range of cases, including criminal felony/misdemeanor arraignments, traffic cases, OVI, domestic violence, theft, first‐offender diversion, small claims, evictions, wage garnishments, and license recovery
- One of three judges serving the court, which has original jurisdiction over criminal, traffic, and civil cases in western Stark County, including the cities of Massillon and Canal Fulton, and surrounding townships and villages
- She is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Massillon and has been involved in local schools and civic organizations
