## Biography

### Professional career

- Superior Court Judge for the Appalachian Judicial Circuit in Georgia, appointed in 2024 to succeed the late Judge John Worcester
- Before becoming a judge, Sosebee served 11 years as District Attorney for the Appalachian Judicial Circuit, elected in 2013 and re‐elected in 2017.
- Position: Superior Court Judge, Appalachian Judicial Circuit (Fannin, Gilmer, and Pickens counties)
- She also appointed Acting DA Frank Wood as the official District Attorney in her first official act

### Education

- B.A. and J.D. from the University of Georgia

### Additional information

- Appointed: January 2024 by Governor Brian Kemp to fill the vacancy created by Judge Worcester’s passing in August 2023
- In her swearing‐in, Sosebee expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the circuit and acknowledged the loss of Judge Worcester, calling it “an honor and privilege to succeed John Worcester”.
