## Biography

### Professional career

- Former District Arbitration Judge (2018–2021)
- Barry L. Breslow is a judge of the Second Judicial District Court (Department 8) in Washoe County, Nevada, appointed by Governor Brian Sandoval in April 2017 and retained by voters in the 2018 and 2020 general elections
- held the role of law clerk to U.S. District Judge Howard D. McKibben (1987–1988)

- As Presiding Judge of Department 8, Judge Breslow hears civil and criminal matters of general jurisdiction.
- He assists with probate matters on referral and chairs the district’s Civil Bench/Bar Committee
- Was a pro tem judge in Reno Municipal Court and a nine-year member of the State Bar of Nevada Disciplinary Panel
- Judge Breslow holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubble’s Judicial Edition, the highest possible rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
