## Biography

### Professional career

- In 2017, he was elevated to assignment judge of Vicinage 15 by Chief Justice Stuart Rabner, filling the vacancy left by the retirement of Judge Georgia M. Curio
- Salem County Criminal Division (2015–2017) He also held the role of presiding judge of the Cumberland County Family Division, Criminal presiding judge liaison to the State Domestic Violence Working Group, and presiding judge of the Salem County Family and Criminal Divisions
- Before joining the bench, Telsey was a partner at Telsey & Puma starting in 1994.
- He also held the role of a municipal prosecutor for Salem and Lower Alloway’s Creek and worked as a public defender and solicitor for several municipalities in Salem County

- Joined the New Jersey Superior Court in 2007 by Governor Jon Corzine and reappointed for tenure in 2014, allowing him to serve until the mandatory retirement age of 70 in 2038.
