### Professional career

- Since 2017, he has served at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI), becoming chief legal counsel in 2019
- Judge Ben Jones was appointed to the Dane County Circuit Court by Governor Tony Evers in 2025, following a merit-based selection process
- Attorney in private practice, specializing in school law and labor and employment law, advising school boards and administrators

- Graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison and the University of Wisconsin Law School
- He filled the vacancy left by Judge Susan Crawford after her election to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and she has endorsed him to continue her work in Dane County
