## Biography

### Professional career

- Bernie Bouchard is the nonpartisan Municipal Court Judge for District 6 of Hamilton County, Ohio, serving since 2006 and re‐elected in 2023 for a term ending January 2, 2030
- As Director of the Sexual Predator Unit, he pioneered the use of Ohio’s “1000 Foot Rule” to remove sexual offenders from school zones and drafted the first civil registry complaint in the state to help victims past the statute of limitations

- Studies at Saint Xavier High School, Xavier University, and the Ohio Northern University College of Law

- Lifelong Cincinnati resident and joined the court in 2006 Hamilton County Courts.
- handling juvenile felony/misdemeanor cases, paternity, child support, and custody disputes
- Before becoming a judge, Bouchard held the role of Assistant Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney for over five years, prosecuting hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases and trying more than 25 jury trials.
