### Professional career

- Judge Beth W. Cappelli has held the role of a judge of the Fairborn Municipal Court since January 1, 2008, and is currently a nonpartisan incumbent in the 2026–2031 term

### Education

- a J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1992, where she received the American Jurisprudence Award in Ethics.
- She obtained a B.A. from Miami University in 1989

### Additional information

- She has received multiple honors, including the Judicial Award from the Ohio Association of Magistrates, the Charles Christopher Award (2017) from the Mental Health and Recovery Board, and the President’s Eagle Award (2018) from the Association of Municipal/County Judges of Ohio.
- She was admitted to the Ohio bar in November 1992 and practiced law in Beavercreek, OH, before becoming a magistrate at Fairborn Municipal Court.
- Beth W. Cappelli was raised in Fairborn, Ohio, graduating valedictorian from Fairborn High School in 1985.
