### Professional career

- Judge, Ohio Court of Appeals, 1999-present
- Before law school, Whitmore served in the U.S. Air Force Security Service from 1968 to 1972, including as a top secret control officer and commander of enlisted women at Goodfellow Air Force Base in Texas.
- Recognized alongside fellow Ninth District Judge Carla Moore as a trailblazer for women in the legal profession
