Alabama Rule of Criminal Procedure 9.4 permits televising, photographing, or radio broadcasting of judicial proceedings only as provided by Alabama judicial ethics canons, law, or another court rule.

Evidence excerpt: The taking of television pictures or other photographs in or of the courtroom during the progress of judicial proceedings or the radio broadcasting of judicial proceedings may be permitted as provided in Canon 3(A)(7) and (7B), Canons of Judicial Ethics, promulgated by the Alabama Supreme Court, or as otherwise may be permitted by law or other rule of court.

### Professional career

- Brady Eutaw Mendheim Jr. is an American jurist who has held the role of an associate justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama since 2019
- Mendheim was appointed to the Supreme Court of Alabama on January 19, 2018, by Governor Kay Ivey to replace Justice Glenn Murdock who resigned
- A former assistant district attorney for the 20th Judicial Circuit, Mendheim was district judge in Houston County from 2001 to 2009 and circuit judge for the 20th Judicial Circuit from 2009 to 2018
- Brad Eutaw Mendheim Jr. is an Associate Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court and a Republican from Dothan, Alabama

- Appointed twice by Governor Kay Ivey, first in 2018 to replace Glenn Murdock and again later that year to succeed Tom Parker, he has served since December 2018.
- Mendheim was elected to Alabama's 20th Judicial Circuit in 2008 and served there until Ivey appointed him to the state supreme court in January 2018.
- Born July 26, 1968.
- He has presided over more than 250 cases in over 40 counties and is active in community roles including service at the First Baptist Church of Dothan.
