Alabama Rule of Criminal Procedure 9.4 permits televising, photographing, or radio broadcasting of judicial proceedings only as provided by Alabama judicial ethics canons, law, or another court rule.

Evidence excerpt: The taking of television pictures or other photographs in or of the courtroom during the progress of judicial proceedings or the radio broadcasting of judicial proceedings may be permitted as provided in Canon 3(A)(7) and (7B), Canons of Judicial Ethics, promulgated by the Alabama Supreme Court, or as otherwise may be permitted by law or other rule of court.

### Professional career

- In 2024, Hufford ran an uncontested race for St. Clair County District Judge, Place 1, and was sworn into office on October 15, 2024, becoming the first woman elected as a judge in St. Clair County
- Appointed as Pell City Municipal Judge in 2018 and later elected as St. Clair County District Judge in 2024
- Her appointment was historic, as she became the first woman to serve as a municipal court judge in St. Clair County
- Her career highlights include mentorship under Judge Van Davis and her leadership in both municipal and county-level courts, marking her as a trailblazer for women in the Alabama judiciary
