Scope: statewide

Alabama Rule of Criminal Procedure 9.4 permits televising, photographing, or radio broadcasting of judicial proceedings only as provided by Alabama judicial ethics canons, law, or another court rule.

Evidence excerpt: The taking of television pictures or other photographs in or of the courtroom during the progress of judicial proceedings or the radio broadcasting of judicial proceedings may be permitted as provided in Canon 3(A)(7) and (7B), Canons of Judicial Ethics, promulgated by the Alabama Supreme Court, or as otherwise may be permitted by law or other rule of court.

### Education

- Juris Doctor from Miles Law School in 1998, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama (1981).

### Additional information

- She also completed training at the Judicial College in 2013.
- She has also served as Treasurer and Chair of Membership for the NBA Judicial Council, Co-Chair of the Alabama Lawyers Association Judicial Council, and is a board member of the Alabama Circuit Judges Association.
- She credits Miles Law School for providing the foundation for her legal career and emphasizes the importance of education and service in her personal and professional life.
- Judge Green has held numerous leadership positions within the legal community.
- She was elected Chair of the National Judicial Council of the National Bar Association, a one-year term leading an organization primarily composed of African American judges.
- Her contributions extend to the Alabama State Bar’s Quality of Life, Health & Wellness Task Force and the Magic City Bar Judicial Council, where she has held the role of Secretary and on the Scholarship Banquet Committee.
