## Biography

### Professional career

- On August 14, 2024, the Supreme Court of Georgia appointed Judge Markham as Chair-elect of the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution (GCDR), a position she has held since her 2022 appointment
- Probate Court Judge since January 2020
- 2019–2020: Associate Judge of the Coweta County Probate Court
- Before entering the judiciary, Judge Markham practiced law in Atlanta at Alston & Bird for four years, then returned to Newnan in 2009 to join Rosenzweig, Jones, Horne and Griffis, where she handled civil litigation and held the role of a Guardian Ad Litem and Court Appointed Attorney for the Probate Court
- Judge Carrie Beavers Markham is the Probate Court Judge for Coweta County, Georgia, and the current Chair-elect of the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution

### Education

- She graduated from Newnan High School, then received a B.A. in 2001 from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama

### Additional information

- She earned the Outstanding Probate Judge of the Year Award from the Council of Probate Judges of Georgia in 2023.
