## Biography

### Professional career

- Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court, appointed in December 2022 by Governor Charlie Baker
- In his prosecutorial career, Hodgens handled cases ranging from murder and armed assault to major felonies, led investigations, negotiated plea agreements, and advised the District Attorney on legal and policy issues

### Education

- cum laude – New England School of Law, where he held the position of Coordinating Editor of the New England Journal on Criminal and Civil Confinement — J.D. (1992)
