- Christopher T. Portis is the Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of Atlanta, appointed in 2015, and re‐elected in 2025 with 84.3% of the vote

- Before joining the bench, Portis was a Fulton County Magistrate Judge and practiced law, specializing in business and construction litigation.
- Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of Atlanta and presides over the Housing and Code Enforcement Division.
- Portis belongs to the Kiwanis Club of Northside Atlanta, a former board member of the National Monuments Foundation, and past chairman of the Pastoral Council at St.
- Paul of the Cross Catholic Church.
