## Biography

### Professional career

- She spent over 25 years as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Spokane County and King County, specializing in homicide, sexual assault, domestic violence, and hate crime cases
- Judge Port has volunteered extensively with organizations supporting homeless women and at‐risk youth, and she serves as a guest instructor and moot court judge at the University of Washington School of Law

### Education

- Judge Port grew up in St. Maries, Idaho, earned her bachelor’s degree at Whitworth University, and her J.D. at Gonzaga University School of Law.

### Additional information

- Appointed: April 2020 by Governor Jay Inslee
- She later worked in the Civil Division of the King County Prosecutor’s Office, earning the Civil Litigator of the Year Award in 2015.
