## Biography

### Professional career

- focusing on family law, and in 2005, she established her own practice, Claire Scully, Esq., L.L.C., concentrating on family law, criminal defense, and law enforcement family matters.
- After a brief hiatus to start a family, Scully returned to legal practice in 2000 as a criminal defense attorney.
- In 1991, Scully became an Assistant Prosecutor in Cape May County, and in 1993, she joined the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, working on the trial team until 1997
- Began her legal career in 1989 as an Assistant District Attorney, gaining immediate jury trial experience.
- Studies at Touro College of Law in New York, completing an internship in the Office of the District Attorney during her final year
- She subsequently became a partner at Reich & Scully in Freehold

- Scully has held the role of Chair of the District IX Ethics Committee, volunteered as a judge for statewide mock trial competitions, and participated in mediation as a Rule 1:40 certified mediator.
