## Biography

### Professional career

- Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division and, as of 2025, has been recalled for temporary service in the Civil and General Equity Divisions of Monmouth County (Vicinage 9)
- Served until October 21, 2022, when he stepped down from the assignment, allowing Judge Jack Sabatino to continue on the court
- In August 2022, Chief Justice Stuart Rabner temporarily appointed Fisher to the New Jersey Supreme Court
- He subsequently became presiding judge of the General Equity Division in Monmouth County in 1997
- Fisher is the son of Clarkson Sherman Fisher, a U.S. District Judge for the District of New Jersey (1970–1997)

### Education

- Fisher earned his B.A. from Villanova University and his J.D. from Seton Hall University.

### Additional information

- On August 1, 2003, he was elevated to the Appellate Division
- In 1993, Governor James M. Florio appointed Fisher to the New Jersey Superior Court.
- After law school, he clerked for Superior Court Judge James T. Owens and worked in private practice, including at Ober, Kaler, Grimes and Shriver
- His judicial career spans trial-level, appellate, and temporary supreme court service, with a focus on civil and equity matters
