- Jolliff held the role of a juvenile court judge for the Dawson and Hall County Juvenile Courts in Georgia, a position he held full-time from 1992 until his retirement
- From 1978 to 1992, Jolliff practiced law in private practice
- First appointed as a part-time juvenile court judge in 1990 and became full-time two years later
