## Biography

### Professional career

- Courtney Powell was chosen as a Judge of the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, District 12 (Dauphin County) in the 2023 general election, defeating her opponents and securing a term that extends until December 31, 2033
- She became a partner at JSDC Law Offices in 2022
- After leaving the Public Defender’s office, Powell transitioned to private practice in 2001, joining the Hershey firm of James, Smith, Dietterick and Connelly (now JSDC Law Offices) in 2002, where she practiced family and criminal law.
- Began her legal career in the Dauphin County Public Defender’s office
- Additionally, she held the role of a Solicitor for the Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging

- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications with a minor in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University
