## Biography

### Professional career

- A U.S. Navy veteran, Schuenemann served as a helicopter pilot with multiple deployments, including to Iraq and South America for drug interdiction missions, and as military assistant to the General Counsel of the Navy at the Pentagon

- Appointed by Governor Jared Polis on November 12, 2021 to fill a vacancy created by Judge Anna Ulrich’s resignation
- Admitted to the State Bar of Colorado, 2009
- He clerked for Hon. Charles Weller of Nevada’s Second Judicial District Court before entering private practice
- Judge Schuenemann presides over cases in Saguache County Court (Twelfth Judicial District) in the San Luis Valley of Colorado
