- J. Crews Puryear is a judge of the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Arkansas, Division 1, elected in 2020 and serving until January 1, 2027
- He is a fifth‐generation Desha County resident and has served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church of Dumas
- Before joining the bench, Puryear served as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the 10th Judicial District
