### Professional career

- Judge Cynthia Westcott, now known as Cynthia Westcott Rice, is a retired judge of the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court in Ohio, elected in 2022 and serving until the end of her term in December 2026
- Elected to the Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas in November 2022 and sworn in on December 12, 2022, to complete the term of retired Judge Peter Kontos

### Education

- She holds a B.S. in Management from Purdue University
- a J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law, and is admitted to both the Ohio and Michigan bars

### Additional information

- In early 2026, Westcott announced she would withdraw from her reelection bid and retire when her term ends on December 31, 2026, citing personal reasons.
- She has also held the position of a visiting judge on the Ohio Supreme Court and was Chief Judge of the Ohio Courts of Appeals Judges’ Association in 2021.
