### Professional career

- Chief Justice, Delaware Supreme Court (1964–1973)
- Daniel Fooks Wolcott (January 29, 1910 – July 10, 1973) was an American jurist who held the role of Chancellor of Delaware, Associate Justice, and later Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court
- Associate Justice, Delaware Supreme Court (1950–1964)
- Associate Judge at Large, Superior Court of Delaware (1949)
- As Chief Justice, he presided over the court’s work, which included reviewing appeals from lower courts and administrative agencies

### Education

- B.A. from Yale University in 1933 and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1936, later receiving a Doctor of Laws from the University of Delaware in 1967

### Additional information

- Wolcott’s tenure on the Delaware Supreme Court coincided with the court’s creation in 1951.
- 1950: Chancellor of Delaware.
- He also held the role of a Democratic candidate for Attorney General of Delaware in 1946 and held leadership roles in the New Castle Company Democratic Committee and New Castle Common
