### Professional career

- Elected judge of the Decatur County State Court in Georgia, serving since May 24, 2016, and presiding over misdemeanor, traffic, and certain civil cases
- To qualify, he met Georgia’s requirements: at least three years as a Georgia resident, county residency, seven years of law practice, and age 25+

- Partner at Floyd & Kendrick, LLC (since 2011) He also held the role of city attorney for the City of Climax and as a member of the city council
- Elected in a nonpartisan general election on May 24, 2016, unopposed, to a four‐year term.
- His legal work has included civil litigation, corporate law, and estate planning, and he has argued before the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit
- Assigned to the Decatur County State Court in Bainbridge, Georgia, a trial court with limited jurisdiction handling arraignments, misdemeanor offenses, traffic violations, fish and game cases, Department of Transportation matters, and certain civil actions.
- He presides over arraignments on the third Monday of each month and non‐jury trials on the fourth Monday; jury trials are held in January, March, June, and September Decatur Clerk
