- Governor Brian P. Kemp appointed Judge Emadi on June 24, 2026 to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Jane C. Barwick.
- Joined the bench of Superior Court of Fulton County in July 2026.
- Before his judicial appointment, Judge Emadi held the role of Director of the State Ethics Commission of Georgia from 2019
- In 2017, at age 29, he was named a Rising Star by the Daily Report among the top 30 lawyers in Georgia under 40
- Active in the legal community, with memberships and leadership roles in professional organizations, and is recognized for his integrity, professionalism, and dedication to public service
- Earlier in his career, he also served as a Major League Baseball scout for the Cincinnati Reds organization
- overseeing investigations, regulation, and prosecution of campaign finance law violations by elected officials, candidates, lobbyists, and interest groups He previously spent seven years in the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office, where he was Chief Assistant District Attorney and prosecuted major crimes and violent felonies.
- He now presides over cases in the Superior Court of the Atlanta Judicial Circuit, one of Georgia’s largest and busiest judicial districts
