- David Todd Markle is a judge of the Georgia Court of Appeals, appointed by Governor Nathan Deal on December 7, 2018, and later elected to a full six‐year term in 2020 and re‐elected in 2026
- Judge, Fulton Judicial Circuit, 5th District Superior Court (2011–2018)
- The presiding judge for the Georgia Court of Appeals

- J.D. cum laude from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 1989.

- was appointed to the Court of Appeals of Georgia by Governor Nathan Deal on December 17, 2018, and was elected statewide in 2020 and 2026.
- He has was awarded an AV rating from Martindale‐Hubbell, was named Outstanding Veterans Judge of the Year in 2016, and has served on various community boards, including Rotary Club of Buckhead and the Atlanta Film Society
- Practiced law in Atlanta from 1989 until 2010, most of which was at a firm he founded.
- Began his legal career in Atlanta in 1989, practicing general civil litigation, and in 1996 founded his own firm, later co‐founding Miller & Markle, LLP
- He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1989
- He graduated magna cum laude in political science from the University of Georgia in 1986
- Graduate of the University of Georgia and Mercer Law School.
- Prior to his appointment, Judge Markle served as a trial judge on the Superior Court of Fulton County and as executive counsel to Governor Nathan Deal.
- Markle was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and grew up in Cobb County, Georgia.
