## Biography

### Professional career

- Judge Debra M. Giles is a native of Greenville, Mississippi, elected in 2019 to serve as Chancery Court Judge for Mississippi District 9, Sub‐District 2, covering Humphreys, Issaquena, Sharkey, Sunflower, Warren, and Washington counties
- She held the role of vice president of mock trial, class marshal of her graduating class, and law clerk to the Mississippi Court of Appeals

### Education

- Initially inspired by law through work with the Fourth Circuit Court District Attorney’s Office in high school, Giles later took the LSAT and excelled at law school, graduating J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2008.
