## Biography

### Professional career

- Prosecutor (Lane County DA’s Office, ~10 years), Judge (Lane County Circuit Court since 2006)
- Debra K. Vogt is a longtime Lane County Circuit Court judge in Oregon, now serving as the first Ombudsman for the Oregon Judicial Department, a role she began August 1, 2026
- She held the role of the court’s chief criminal judge for many years, was presiding judge for Lane County for four years, and spent eight years on the Commission on Judicial Fitness and Disability
- In her announcement, Vogt said she is “honored to have been selected for this unique opportunity to work with the public and the judicial conference” and looks forward to ensuring “everyone has access to fair and impartial justice”
