## Biography

### Professional career

- Before her judicial appointment, VanLanduyt was a licensed attorney since 2000 and the founder of VanLanduyt Law, a family law firm in Decatur and Atlanta.
- Selected as an associate judge for the City of Decatur Municipal Court in February 2022
- Denise D. VanLanduyt is an associate judge for the City of Decatur Municipal Court in Georgia, appointed in 2022, and continues to serve in both judicial and legal advocacy roles

- Also a certified arbitrator, registered mediator, and guardian ad litem in multiple Georgia counties
- One of three associate judges, alongside Berryl A. Anderson and F. Robert Slotkin Jr., under Chief Judge Rhathelia Stroud
- She has extensive experience in divorce, complex asset disputes, child custody, and general civil litigation, and has argued cases before the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals.
- VanLanduyt serves as a district representative for the fourth judicial administrative district of the Council of Municipal Court Judges of Georgia and is on its executive committee.
