### Professional career

- Magistrate judge in the DeKalb County Magistrate Court since August 2021
- Before his judicial role, Heard was Judge Pro Tempore in the DeKalb County Juvenile Court from 2007 to 2021.
- Also recognized as a juvenile court judge in DeKalb County
- Licensed to practice in the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, Northern District Court of Georgia, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals
- His legal career began as a law clerk for Judge Michael C. Clark in the Gwinnett County Superior Court
