- She also served as a volunteer attorney with Advocates for Human Rights and was an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas Law School
- Her appellate practice focused on civil appeals in Minnesota, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and other federal circuits, covering areas such as contract, tort, constitutional, employment, insurance, product liability, ERISA, trade secrets, and complex civil procedure
