### Professional career

- After retirement, Veasey joined Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A. in 2014 as a special counsel
- After leaving the firm, he held the role of Senior Partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP until 2013
- Also co‐author of Indispensable Counsel: The Chief Legal Officer in the New Reality (Oxford University Press, 2012)
- Eugene Norman “E. Norman” Veasey is an American jurist best known as the Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court from 1992 to 2004
- In 1992, Governor Michael N. Castle nominated Veasey to the Delaware Supreme Court, where he was unanimously confirmed and invested as Chief Justice on April 7, 1992.

- B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1954 and an LL.B. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1957

- In 2004, he received the Order of the First State, Delaware’s highest honor for meritorious service.
- Admitted to the Delaware Bar in 1958, Veasey practiced at Richards, Layton & Finger from 1958 until 1993, rising to partner in 1963, managing partner in the 1970s, and firm president in the mid‐1980s.
