Scope: statewide

Electronic media and still-photography coverage is allowed in Florida public trial and appellate proceedings under Rule 2.450's equipment and conduct standards, always subject to the presiding judge's control of decorum, distractions, and fair administration.

Evidence excerpt: Subject at all times to the authority of the presiding judge to: (i) control the conduct of proceedings before the court; (ii) ensure decorum and prevent distractions; and (iii) ensure the fair administration of justice in the pending cause, electronic media and still photography coverage of public judicial proceedings in the appellate and trial courts of this state shall be allowed

## Biography

### Professional career

- Began her legal career in 1985 as a Legal Aid attorney, then joined the James Whitney Law Firm from 1987 to 1990

### Education

- Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 1981 and her J.D. from Nova University Law School in 1985

### Additional information

- In 2006, she was elected to the 20th Judicial Circuit Court, and she was re-elected in 2012 without opposition.
- Following that, she opened her own law practice focusing on marital and family law.
- Circuit Judge and Administrative Judge for the Family Division in Lee County, Florida.
- Judge Adams’ court schedule includes Family Law Motions and Extended Hearings/Non-Jury Trials throughout the week in Courtroom 4Q.
