- Elliot Howsie grew up in Wilkinsburg, PA, graduating from Central Catholic High School and earning both a bachelor’s and master’s in criminal justice from Indiana University of Pennsylvania
- He also serves on the Allegheny County Jail Oversight Board and as an adjunct professor at Duquesne University’s law school
