- B.A. from Regis College in Weston, MA, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.

- Before joining the bench, she was the first assistant clerk-magistrate for the Northeast Housing Court for 8 years (Background).
- She spent over 22 years as a housing attorney at Neighborhood Legal Services
- representing low-income tenants in District, Housing, and Superior Courts, as well as in administrative and sanitary code enforcement cases LSC - Legal Services Corporation
- Fairlie A. Dalton is a Recall Justice of the Massachusetts Housing Court, serving in the Northeast Division and currently chairing the Housing Court’s Post Pandemic Planning Committee
