### Professional career

- Native of Atlanta, Georgia, and has held the role of a full Juvenile Court Judge since 2014, later becoming Chief Judge in 2023
- 2014–present: Full Juvenile Court Judge in DeKalb County, presiding over dependency, delinquent, and traffic cases
- Chief Judge: Appointed by the Superior Court Judges of DeKalb County as Chief Judge of the DeKalb County Juvenile Court effective January 1, 2023

- Before joining the judiciary, Judge El-Amin served as an Assistant District Attorney

- Judge El-Amin attended W. D. Mohammed High School in DeKalb County and graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a dual B.A. in Psychology and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations.
