## Biography

### Professional career

- Prior to his judicial appointment, he was a partner at Morris James LLP from 1983 to 2020, where he specialized in insurance law, personal injury, and alternative dispute resolution
- Began his legal career as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Justice John J. McNeilly of the Delaware Supreme Court
- Throughout his career, Judge Jones has been actively involved in the high school mock trial program at both state and national levels, serving as a coach, judge, and program director

### Education

- J.D. — Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America and his B.A. in History in 1979 from the same university (1982)

### Additional information

- He has received numerous awards, including the 2019 First State Distinguished Service Award, the 2006 Vincent Bifferato Mentor Award, and the 2017 Justice Gene Franchini Golden Gavel Award.
- A native Delawarean.
- He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and has held the role of President of the Delaware ABOTA chapter twice
