### Professional career

- 2016 – Nominated by Governor Charlie Baker and confirmed July 13, 2016, to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (SJC), succeeding Justice Francis X. Spina
- Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, appointed by Governor Charlie Baker in 2016, with a career spanning private practice, prosecutorial work, and judicial service at multiple levels
- 2004 – Appointed Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court by Governor Mitt Romney
- His legal career began as a litigation associate at Foley Hoag in Boston, followed by service as Assistant District Attorney for Plymouth County from 1991 to 2001, where he prosecuted complex felonies including homicides
