- Gary Stephen Katzmann is an American judge who has held the role of a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade since September 15, 2016
- Judge, Massachusetts Appeals Court, 2004-present
- From 2004 to 2016, Katzmann held the role of Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court, adjudicating civil and criminal matters
- Associate Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice (1993–1994)
- Research associate and special investigator at Harvard Law School’s Center for Criminal Justice (1981–1983)
- Law clerk to Judge Leonard B. Sand (S.D.N.Y.) (1979–1980) and to then-Judge Stephen G. Breyer (1st Cir.) (1980–1981)

- Yale Law School, where he edited the Yale Law Journal — J.D. (1979)

### Additional information

- Nominated by President Barack Obama on July 30, 2015, to replace Judge Jane A. Restani, who took senior status in 2015.
- Appointed to that position by Governor Mitt Romney in 2004
