### Professional career

- Long‐time judge in Georgia’s Houston Judicial Circuit, serving as Chief Judge of the Houston Superior Court from 1996 until 2016
- 1986–2016: Judge, Houston Superior Court, appointed by then‐Governor Joe Frank Harris
- held the role of designated justice for the Georgia Supreme Court on three occasions, most recently in 2013

- He also served eight years on the Perry City Council (1978–1986)
- Before entering the judiciary, Nunn practiced law for 16 years — first at Mitchell, Clarke, Pate & Anderson in Atlanta (1969–1972) and later at Nunn, Geiger & Pierce in Perry (1972–1986).
