- Virginia Court of Appeals Judge: Elected by the Virginia General Assembly on July 29, 2011, to an eight‐year term starting August 1, 2011, to fill the vacancy created by Cleo E. Powell’s elevation to the Supreme Court of Virginia
- Founder and president of Huff, Poole & Mahoney, P.C. (1987–2011) and partner at Seawell, Dalton, Hughes & Timms (1977–1987)
