Alabama Rule of Criminal Procedure 9.4 permits televising, photographing, or radio broadcasting of judicial proceedings only as provided by Alabama judicial ethics canons, law, or another court rule.

Evidence excerpt: The taking of television pictures or other photographs in or of the courtroom during the progress of judicial proceedings or the radio broadcasting of judicial proceedings may be permitted as provided in Canon 3(A)(7) and (7B), Canons of Judicial Ethics, promulgated by the Alabama Supreme Court, or as otherwise may be permitted by law or other rule of court.

### Professional career

- District Attorney (2003–present): Griggers has led the 17th Circuit DA’s Office for over two decades
- He also continues to serve as District Attorney for Circuit 17 (covering Greene, Sumter, and Marengo Counties) until January 15, 2029
- Judicial Appointment: Griggers ran for Circuit Court Judge in the 2024 Alabama General Election, succeeding Judge Hardaway
- Presiding Judge of the 17th Circuit Court and is listed with the Greene County Seventeenth Circuit Court website as the official judicial contact for the circuit
- The Presiding Judge of the Seventeenth Circuit Court in Alabama, serving Greene, Sumter, and Marengo Counties, and is also the current District Attorney for Circuit 17
