## Biography

### Professional career

- Appointed Deputy Chief Judge of the Kentucky Court of Appeals by Chief Judge Larry E. Thompson on December 16, 2024, effective January 1, 2025
- In this role, he provides administrative oversight to the Court in the Chief Judge’s absence, succeeding Pamela R. Goodwine, who was elected to the Kentucky Supreme Court

- Judge J. Christopher McNeill is a member of the Kentucky Court of Appeals, elected from the 1st Appellate District, and became Deputy Chief Judge of the Court in January 2025
- McNeill currently chairs the Kentucky Bar Association Task Force on Artificial Intelligence and has been a frequent presenter at KBA Continuing Legal Education events.
- He is also a past president of the McCracken County Bar Association and a former member of the McCracken County Specialty Court Board
