## Biography

### Professional career

- Circuit judge for Division 6 of the Missouri 16th Judicial Circuit Court (Jackson County), appointed in 2009 and currently serving until 2028
- He has also been invited to sit as a Special Judge with the Missouri Court of Appeals

- Youngs has held the role of a judge since April 30, 2009, appointed by then-Governor Jay Nixon to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of John R. O’Malley.
- Over more than 16 years on the bench, Youngs has presided over nearly 100 jury trials, handled a broad caseload in civil, domestic, and criminal matters, and held the role of the circuit’s Family Court Administrative Judge (2018–2019) and Presiding Judge (2021–2022).
- Active in professional organizations, including the Missouri Institute of Justice and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association
