### Professional career

- Former Candler County State Court Judge in Georgia, serving since 2016, who resigned in February 2026 to run for Superior Court Judge in the Middle Judicial Circuit
- Judge Gross has served on the Candler County State Court since being re‐elected on May 24, 2016
- Rumored candidates for the seat include Gabe Cliett (Candler County Magistrate Judge) and Brent Carter (current Candler County Solicitor)
- He stated the move was to pursue a Superior Court Judge seat in the Middle Judicial Circuit (covering Candler, Emanuel, Jefferson, Toombs, and Washington counties)
- He also presided as a municipal judge for the City of Metter Municipal Court
