## Biography

### Professional career

- Jack Bernard Jacobs is a former Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court (2003–2014) and Vice Chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery (1985–2003)
- Jacobs has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at NYU, Columbia, Vanderbilt, and UPenn

### Education

- B.A. in 1964 (Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Chicago and an LL.B. in 1967 from Harvard Law School.

### Additional information

- He later received an LL.D. (Hon.) from Widener University in 2011
- Born July 23, 1942.
- He is a member of the American Law Institute and the Delaware and American Bar Associations, and a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation
- He has served on advisory boards for the University of Pennsylvania Institute for Law and Economics, Harvard Law School Corporate Governance Program, and the Rand Center for Corporate Ethics and Governance
