- The Judge Pro Tempore of the Henry County Juvenile Court in McDonough, Georgia, serving in that role for over 50 years
- In recent years, Henry County celebrated his 55‐year milestone as an active attorney and judge, with colleagues and community members attending the event

- Graduated from Henry County High School in 1962; earned a B.A. from the University of Georgia in 1967; received his J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 1971
