### Professional career

- James T. Walther is the elected Judge of the Lorain County Probate Court in Elyria, Ohio, serving since February 2009 and re‐elected in 2014 and 2020
- Acting judge and magistrate for Lorain Municipal Court (2001–2004)

### Education


### Additional information

- Walther has presided over the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas Probate Division since 2009, after being first elected in November 2008.
- He was re‐elected in 2014 and again in 2020 National College of Probate Judges.
- In addition to his probate duties, he has led the Lorain County Veterans Treatment Court (established 2014) and launched the New Journey Court in 2018, an assisted outpatient treatment program for individuals with serious mental illness National College of Probate Judges
- He is also active in community service, including as past District Chairman of the Boy Scouts of America’s Great Frontier District, and has received the Lorain County Friend of 4‐H Award (2015) and the Ohio Friend of 4‐H Award (2017)
